Goals Development and Climate Strategy: WES helped Bank of America hone its 2007 environmental goals, the $20 billion commitment to support the development of a low-carbon economy. WES verified claims, provided perspective on how aggressive the goals were, crafted language to help position the announcement with a range of stakeholders, and worked with individual business units to define environmental targets that fit the business' goals, operations, and culture.

Environmental Communications and Brand Building: WES was retained to advise IKEA U.S. on the launch of a new environmental program, Bag the Plastic Bag (where customers are charged for throw-away bags at the register). WES laid out the possible pitfalls in launching a new consumer-focused program, and helped develop a media strategy. Andrew conducted radio and print interviews as part of the media launch in support of the initiative.

Innovation Study: For this 150-year-old information provider, WES developed a document for executives to help them explore the environment as an opportunity space. WES reviewed the nature of global environmental challenges, the size of environmental markets, the current information needs for potential Reuters customers, and a review of the competitive landscape.
